Dr. Timothy E. Phelan, MD, FACOG, is a distinguished OB/GYN at Creekside OB/GYN of Folsom. He's passionate about providing exceptional women's health care across the United States and enjoys serving patients in and around Folsom, California.
Originally from Oregon, Dr. Phelan graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Rochester in New York. He then returned to Oregon to earn his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, where he discovered his calling as an obstetrician during his first delivery.
To gain extensive experience, Dr. Phelan sought out highly reputable residency programs. He completed a year of internship at the renowned Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, followed by a residency in OB/GYN at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. In 1999, he moved to Northern California and founded Creekside OB/GYN of Folsom, dedicated to providing compassionate care to women from adolescence through menopause.
Dr. Phelan is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. As a da Vinci-trained laparoscopic surgeon, he was the first to perform a da Vinci robotic surgery at Mercy Hospital of Folsom.
Outside his professional commitments, Dr. Phelan enjoys quality time with his wife and three daughters. He is also an avid ultra-marathon runner, continually pushing his limits in his free time.
